Beer, Bread, Milk and Kenny
An individual hand-built steampunk dimmable lamp, with USB charging port, built with upcycled, antique or vintage parts including a wooden bread box, two vintage meters (inactive), brass garden tap, brass radiator key, glowing thermionic radio valve, official Bass plaque and porcelain pump handle, water stop cock, gas stop cock.
This is a fairly large artwork of dimensions 60cm wide X 55cm high X 30cm deep.
Touching the base of the key dims an Edison-style E27 bulb to brighten the corners of your bothy. The artwork is about 50cm wide X 30cm high X 17cm deep and has decorative bronze feet and straps.
The top has :
- An E27 Edison filament bulb
- An official Bass plaque and porcelain pump handle
- A large vintage moving-iron bakelite voltmeter. Model 605 (inactive)
- A glowing thermionic radio valve
The front has a :
- Blue illuminated USB charger port on the front is powered by a stabilised power supply
- Vintage Weston bakelite Thermo-Ammeter for Radio Frequency. Model 425 (inactive)
- Radiator key that, when the base is touched, causes the Edison lamp to dim
- Original vintage indicator, to define how may pints the milkman should leave
The right-hand side has :
- Illuminated colour-changing bubbles leading into an official South Park Kenny, who is himself illuminated
- A Garden tap
The left-hand side has :
- A water stop cock
- An illuminated upcycled pommander that casts delicate patterns
All electrics and electronics are new. The 1.7 metre brown vintage 3-core fabric flexible twisted double insulated 3 core cable is terminated with a black 13-amp plug, which complies with BS 1363, and is fitted with a 2 amp fuse. An additional spare fuse is included. The other end is terminated with a black IP68 compression TRS M12 cable stuffing gland. Really, we didn’t just make that up.
