An individual hand-built low voltage lamp built with an original General Electric vintage (built in 1943) test multimeter built for the US Signal Corps in a Bakelite case, Modifications to give the meter red and green illuminated bubbles, built on rubber feet with an external plug-in low voltage supply.
The meter still works and displays a reading when switched on. The framework is built from copper and brass plumbing fittings and pipe.
A switch on the brass lamp holder switches the main low voltage lamp.
A recessed switch on the rear switches off the illuminations and meter.
The unit has a black conical lampshade.
