Little Plane
This Little Plane lamp is hardly a little plain.
An individual hand-built steampunk dimmable lamp built with upcycled vintage hand made carpenter's plane, upcycled new in-line dimmer switch, new weathered copper effect lamp cage and felt feet.
Turning the in-line dimmer switch dims an Edison-style E27 bulb, which is included, to brighten the corners of your bothy.
All electrics and electronics are new. The traditional chocolate brown fabric flexible twisted double insulated 3-core 1.4 metre cable is terminated with a black 13-amp plug, which complies with BS 1363. The other end is terminated with a black IP68 compression TRS cable stuffing gland.
The wood has been finished in beeswax.
The plane was built by H.Crook, Snow Lane, in Sheffield who has had the "spinning top" patent since 1857. This can still be seen at the top of the plane. Look carefully and you will see the maker's name impressed on the front.
The dimensions are 23cm long by 26cm high by 10cm deep
