Remington Rand
A Hi-Fi Bluetooth speaker system made from a valuable vintage (1940's) detachable Remington Rand Model 5 portable typewriter which appears to be in good working order and new speakers, electronics and electrics.
It has a new Pulse speaker under the typewriter and new tweeter on the left front. The control unit on the right front gives control of the Bluetooth connection, together with rotary volume, treble and bass controls. The Bluetooth connection ID is "HCH-RF20". The audio system is switched on/off with a beautiful vintage-style bakelite switch on the right hand side.
The bakelite switch on the left switches internal lighting which consistes of a rotating amber light under the typewriter and a blue lightbar behind the unit.
The box that the typewriter rests on is the original vintage carry case.
The appliance is Class III as defined in IEC 61140 and has been tested. The unit is powered by a new 12V 3A plugin power supply with a 1.7 metere black lead.
