Eccentric music player handmade locally from a repurposed wooden suitcase and refurbished 15-watt mono guitar amplifier.
This provides the following functionality :
• Scrolling display. FM Radio with automatic channel scan. Volume control.
• Bluetooth 5.0, so that you can throw music from your mobile phone, with sources such as Spotify. Pair with device “JQ-BT”
• Mp3 player from plug-in sources such as USB stick, micro-SD card or SD card memory.
• Line-in (Aux) such as a record, CD or cassette player.
• Included remote control unit.
The detachable Guitar Amplifier has the standard controls of separate Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble controls. In Improve control enhances the Bass. There is also a ¼” headphone socket. The amplifier has its own mains power cord.
The base unit is powered by a separate 12v plug-in adaptor (included). The bakelite-type traditional power switch on the front-right switches the power to the base unit. When this is switched on, the amber indicator below it glows.
The chrome socket on the front-left provides the mono line-out to the amplifier, via a short ¼” cable. The large key on the right-side is for decoration, and provides no functionality
Ensure the amplifier and the base unit are plugged into the mains. Switch the base unit on by the round switch at the front right. The amber indicator will light.
Please remember that the control unit and amplifier have separate volume controls. When throwing music via Bluetooth, such as from a phone, the phone also has a volume control. When first using set the control unit to 15 (out of 30) on the main control unit and the amplifier volume to 3. The Bass, Middle and Treble controls should be set to halfway.
When in Radio mode, holding the Pause button down for a moment will start the unit scanning for radio stations. An aerial wire plugged into the blue socket at the back should improve FM radio reception.
