Unusual steampunk Grandmother clock, made from vintage and upcycled components including a vintage Grandmother clock case, a vintage Singer sewing machine wheeled assembly, a vintage Bakelite Triang model railway controller, a working electric dome bell, ornate door handles, flexible plumbing pipes, a radiator key, a vintage Bakelite tropical Decibel meter, a brass barometer bezel with Tibetan disk, Queen's Silver Jubilee iron stand, gold Cold basin tap, a wooden sleeping lady bookend, two illuminated car indicators and a speaker grille and bezel.
There is an Edison bulb in a cage at the top, which is dimmed by touching the key at the front.
At the centre of the clock face is a valve mono-clock which glows and pulses the time. The clock is initially set by a pair of brass push buttons mounted on copper rings. When powered off, the clock maintains the time.
The electric dome bell is activated by the brass switch on top.
At the base and at the back a blue glow spreads out from car mirror indicators.
All electrics and electronics are new. There are three electronic modules within including the switching mode dual power supply, lamp dimmer and digital clock electronics. The appliance is Class I as defined in IEC 61140 and has been tested. The traditional gold fabric double insulated 3 core 1.9 metre cable is terminated with a black 13-amp plug, which complies with BS 1363.
